Exchange Best Practice Analyzer shows DHCP client service "not running" when in fact it is
I would like to know if this message can be ignored? That's what I'm doing at the moment, by the way. Thanks

Is this coming on exchange server? If yes, you can ignore this as I am sure exchange will be running on static IP rather then DHCP. Also update the EXBPA and run it again.Check comments from EXBPA Program Manager Paul http://www.mombu.com/microsoft/exchange-server-tools/t-exbpa-v26-reports-critical-issues-which-are-not-critical-212867.htmlRaj

Dear Rajnish, thanks for the reply. Yes, the message is appearing on Exchange Server. Here' s the warning message: The DHCP Client service is not running on server ABC.LOCAL. This may cause dynamic DNS update failures, even when static IP addresses are used. As I mentioned before, the DHCP client service is running.

did you upgraded the EXBPA? Paul has good reasoning on the URL that i provided. I doubt this will create any isssue for exchange.Raj
